Because of laziness, disorganization or lack of ideas many people opt to go to the vending machine between breakfast, lunch and dinner, having a sovereign binge before eating a proper and healthy meal.

Chia seeds and oatmeal crackers recipe

Ingredients:

  • 30 grams chia seeds
  • 65 grams sesame seeds
  • 20 grams poppy seeds
  • 60 grams pumpkin seeds
  • 20 grams oatmeal
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • 1 cup water

Process:

  • Preheat the oven to 300 ° F (150 ° C). Put all ingredients except water in a medium bowl and mix them all well. Add the water, stirring gently to integrate it. Cover the mix and let it stand for 10 minutes.
  • Check that the water gets sucked by the mixture of seeds. It should be a slightly sticky dough without any water at the bottom. If that happens, add a little more of chia, or oats, mix and wait for a few more minutes.
  • Cover a baking sheet with oven paper and extend the dough over it. Form a rectangle and flatten well with a spatula, a roller or with clean hands. Leave about 3-5 mm thick, ensuring that it is uniform. Add one pinch of salt on top and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Wait a couple of minutes before sliding a spatula underneath and turn the dough around. Bake it again for 25-30 more minutes more.
  • Cool it down outside the oven. Transfer it to a platter and cut it down with a good sharp knife into triangles or squares of the size you desire. And… that’s all! You now have chia seeds and oatmeal crackers for a healthy snack!
