At GoldFoods we believe in clean eating, relying on nature’s treasures like Chia seeds and Quinoa, to promote good health and wellbeing.

Our goal is to encourage the use of different foods for their health benefits.

Why are our seeds exceptional?

We grow and harvest our seeds in the subtropical climate of eastern Bolivia, where rainfalls are limited and frosts are nonexistent. These conditions give our seeds many of their precious qualities including high amounts of omega 3 and omega 6. Our Chia and Quinoa are also considered the best quality because we let them ripen naturally. Other brands on the market often harvest crops before they’re ready and use artificial environments to advance the maturation process.

Chia Seeds

Chia, also called Salvia Hispanica, was a staple for Native American tribes in the United States and among the indigenous populations of Mexico. Goldfoods offers two varieties of Chia: black and white (not mixed) both organic and natural. We care about the quality of both varieties, especially at the point of harvest, so as not to affect the nutritional value of our Chia.

  • Superfood: Complete vegetable protein with eight essential amino acids.
  • Idea for vegetarian and vegan diets.
  • Gluten Free.
  • Non-GMO
  • High capacity for water absorption and high in fiber, which is essential for good health and digestion.

At GoldFoods we don’t allow our Chia to arrive at the point of purchase already ripe. The chia harvest season coincides with the time of the year when there’s the lowest rainfall. This gives our seeds its color – a blackish grey – that you don’t see from other chia producers. Their chia tends to have a dull hue. This is one of the reasons why our chia is considered of higher quality. In fact, our farmers never harvest a crop when the chia is brown, which means it’s not quite ready to be picked.
