Pumpkin is a powerhouse when it comes to nutrition, making it a perfect ingredient for a Fall smoothie. This smoothie is like drinking pumpkin pie. The benefit is a lot less sugar and a great boost to start your kid’s day! And for those of you with children who have dairy allergies, we made it dairy free! If you want increase the nutritional value of the smothie, include chia seed in it.
Chia is considered a complete vegetable protein with all 8 essential amino acids. It’s ideal to complete vegetarian or vegan diets. It’s gluten free, non-GMO; has a high capacity for water absorption; high in fiber (good for overall health and digestion); and maintains blood sugar levels.

Recipe: Kids smothie with chia seeds
- 3/4 cup Almond milk
- 1 cup Coconut milk yogurt or Greek Yogurt
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 little apple
- 1 frozen banana
- Ice for desired consistency
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
