According to a study conducted by ainiaforward,cookies and nuts are the snacks consumed more frequently, but there is also an increase in the consumption of fruitsin snacks and individual portions forms.

50% of consumers ensures that they have increased their consumption of healthy snacks. A growing concern for their health, a higher supply of such products in the market, convenience and habits changes are the main reasons they attributed this increased in consumption of healthy snacks.

However, almost 60% of consumers polled, states that they would enhance thenatural factorabove their current snacks’ consumption. Thus, the top-rated healthy snacks include chopped fruit, followed closely by nuts and, thirdly, dried fruits.

In addition, 70% of consumers think that for a snack to be healthy, it must be made from natural ingredients such as: fruits (73%), quinoa (55%), nut oil (almonds, walnuts, cashew, hazelnut 47%) and aloe vera (41%).

Regarding to the frequency of purchase and consumption of snacks, ainiaforward stresses that “it is high among consumers.” “86% buy snacks several times a week. And of these, 62% of them consumes several times a week, 23% every day, and only 12%, once a week,” the study adds.
